RACEN URO1 NBOB UGRCH Element's Hero of Time CGCA CGCU

link.jpg

Link is our third generation here at Element, the pick male from our 2020 Nautical litter. He is out of our homebred girl and first BIS winner Alice, and Junior, a master hunting retriever with an extremely long list of performance accomplishments.

*Link's significance to our program*

Link has really brought out some of the best traits from his line. Link has lovely front and rear angulation, tons of neck, good tailset, tight round feet, and his movement is exceptional. In addition, he is completely clear of all genetic diseases in the panel for Poodles and has all passing orthopedic testing including excellent hips.

Link's sweet temperament makes me feel comfortable allowing him around even our youngest puppies, and he is always a gentleman around our ladies. Link carries for red/apricot, a close relative of the first AKC Grand Champion apricot Poodle. This contributes to one of the main goals of our program, to improve the gene pool for red and apricot standard poodles. Link is not currently available for public stud.

Sheik

Ivy Lane's Prelude of Light @ Element

Sheik is our beautiful white boy from Ivy Lane Poodles in Indiana. He is out of Ivy Lane's white girl Prudence, who is a diamond grand champion in UKC, and McGeehee, who is a black AKC Champion. This puppy holds a special place for me personally because he is the product of several generations of breeding by my best friend in Poodles, Bonnie @ Crystal Creek, and the very first litter produced by my good friend Jenn @ Ivy Lane. I am honored to have a piece of this legacy in my program.

*Sheik's significance to our program*

Although Sheik is not from red or apricot lines, cream, apricot, and red are all shades of the same gene, so he will still be able to produce some variant of it so that he can contribute to the improvement of the red/apricot gene pool. Truly improving a color variant that has limited genes requires the introduction of outside genes to offer improvement to structure and health, as well as provide genetic diversity.

Sheik has a lovely pedigree of dogs from long time, reputable Poodle breeders and fanciers. Sheik's sire is from Kaylen Poodles in Florida. Kay has been known for producing exceptional Poodles over the years with many, many AKC Champions and Grand Champions. Sheik's mother, as mentioned above, was bred by our good friend at Crystal Creek, who has gone above and beyond the last several years to bring diverse pedigrees together and create a unique line of dogs who have sound temperaments and excel in both the show and performance rings. I am very much looking forward to Sheik's show and sport career!
